How to Join
To start your 2025 Fantasy F1 experience, login to F1 website with account details or create a new account.
Once logged in, select the gaming tab and then the Fantasy tab, where you will be able to create and manage up to 3 teams.
If concerned about team name being taken, press the auto fill button and revisit at a later or more convenient time to pick your drivers and teams.
Your Team
Each team will consist of 5 drivers and 2 constructors and a budget of $100M.
You are able to change your team each week through transfers before the next team lock deadline.
Additionally, a DRS Boost will be granted at the beginning of each race week, which will double the points of the driver it is allocated to.
Transfers
Each of your teams will have 2 free transfers ahead of every race.
If you exceed the limit of 2 free transfers, each additional one will cost a 10 point penalty for your team, which will be deducted from your overall score.
However, if you do not use your transfers, 1 unused free transfer will carry onto the next week. But this must be used for the following race.
Driver and Constructor Prices

Chips
Chips are extremely useful across all fantasy sports but are particularly useful within Formula 1 as the season has ever-changing conditions.
There are an extra 6 chips available for usage throughout the season, each only allowed to be activated once and having its own situation where it will be more suitable for.
3 chips are available to be used straight away, which are Autopilot, Extra DRS Boost and No Negative chips. The remaining 3 chips will unlock for the 2nd race and will be the Wildcard, Limitless and Final Fix chips.
Autopilot Chip - Will change your DRS Boost selection and give it to the highest scoring driver in your team, if different from your original choice.
Extra DRS Boost Chip - Will enable a driver to get 3x their points on their next Grand Prix weekend. You can select any driver within your team but if the 2x DRS Boost is already granted to them, you will need to give that to another driver.
No Negative Chip - If any members of your team score a negative, you will limit your loss at zero points for that driver or constructor. This year's chip has been slightly altered as it is applied per scoring category rather than just the overall total for the driver or constructor. Will still be deducted points for extra transfers.
Wildcard Chip - Allows you to make an unlimited amount of changes to your team within the cost cap. Will remain active until the next team-lock deadline so allows changes to be made throughout. It will be available for the 2nd race as the 1st race already has no limits on transfers.
Limitless Chip - Similar to the Wildcard chip, it allows an unlimited amount of transfers but with an unlimited budget as well. Your team will be restored after the race for the following race week. All transfers made are countered as unlimited and no free transfers will be carried into the next race week.
Final Fix Chip - Allows you to make a single change to your team between the end of Qualifying and the start of the GRand Prix without earning yourself a penalty if all free transfers have already been used. Your team will still keep the points from the driver you remove and only score points from the next track session onwards. However, you will not be able to change your DRS Boost allocation and your replaced driver will then earn the 2x score. Your original team will reset after the race, with the Final Fix driver removed.
Leagues
Fantasy F1 can be more enjoyable when competing against family and friends. To do this join or create a public or private league and invite others through links or by sharing the code.
Your teams will automatically be enrolled into the Global League, Favourite Constructors League, Favourite Drivers League and a league with other players from your country. Although there are many other options to join public leagues that have already been set up, such as the Sky Sports F1 league.
In addition to private and public leagues, Fantasy F1 has mini leagues and head-to-head leagues.
Mini Leagues - Works similarly to the Global League although it focuses on a smaller and more specific amount of races across the season.
Head-to Head Leagues - Allows you to compete directly against your opponent as you battle for the most victories. The team who scores the most each race will earn 2 points whereas a draw grants each team a point.
What's New?
This season, F1 have made a few changes to their fantasy game, these include updates to the scoring system, an addition of interactive drivers, price changes and the overall style of the game. So what's what?
Inactive Drivers – There have been differences surrounding drivers who aren't racing. If a driver is replaced, injured or not participating in Qualifying, Sprint or the Grand Prix, then penalty points will be given. To avoid these penalties, you can use the Final Fix Chip to change your team before each session starts.
As of 2025, the game will suggest a transfer that falls under a similar price range , if the suggestion is accepted then it will be considered part of the transfer allowance. If you have already maxed out your transfers, you will still receive a -10 point penalty.
Price Updates - This season prices for drivers and constructors will be based on their performances across the previous 3 Grand Prixs. An average over their previous races will be created and will dictate whether the driver's price will rise or fall. .
Transfers - If one of your drivers is present in the Sprint but replaced before the Grand Prix, then a suggestion for a transfer will be made for your team in order to avoid a Not Classified penalty. However, this suggestion will still be taken from your transfer limit and will remain a 10 point deduction if you exceed it.
Pitstop Scoring - Updates surrounding fastest pitstops points have been added this season. Each team will now be awarded points for pitstops during Grand Prixs - this will not include Sprints. The points given will be based on their fastest pitstop during the race. A bonus 5 points will be granted to the constructor with the fastest pitstop in the race, additionally if a new world record is set they will be awarded a bonus 15 points.
Disqualification Penalties - Disqualification penalty points will now go to their constructor rather than the driver themselves. But disqualified drivers will not earn any points from the session they were disqualified from.
Scoring and Points
Points will be awarded or deducted based on a driver's and constructor's performance across the Grand Prix weekend, with your team's score updating throughout the weekend.
At the end of each session, a provisional score will be shown before your final score can be calculated and validated - this may often be a few hours after the end of the race.
Positions Gained/Lost - Points can be gained or lost for the amount of positions gained or lost during a race. Positions gained/lost are calculated based on the starting and finishing position in the race and not their qualifying result. - Cars starting from the pitlane will be classed as starting from a position based on the last car on the grid (this may not always be 20th).
Not Classified (NC) - Not Classified drivers will not have any positions lost or gained calculated and instead will be deducted 20 points (-20 point penalty).
Overtakes Made - Points can be earned for the amount of validated overtakes a driver makes - a overtake is only considered valid when one driver legally passes another driver on track when the other driver is not entering or in the pitlane/suffering a car failure/ driving unreasonably slow.
Driver of the Day - Points can be awarded to a driver who receives the Driver of the Day title, which is an award officially given by F1 to the driver who has been deemed as the best driver in the race.
Disqualified - Disqualification points will not be applied to the constructor rather than directly to the driver and have reduced to the not classified penalty of -20 points instead of the previous -25 points. Constructors receive an extra -10 points penalty for disqualification from a race or sprint, leading to -30 points from the total. Similarly, in qualifying constructors will receive an extra -5 points penalty for disqualification, resulting in -10 points from the total.
